I've listed below some of the books that I've read over the last few years (most recent additions on the top left.) Click the small picture of any book to link directly to Amazon.com's page about that book. In the past, I tried to write a little mini-review of what I thought of each book, but I've fallen so far behind in doing that, I've decided to just list the books without comments. But, if you ever want to chat about it, just send me an email!
By the way, if the page you see below is almost totally empty, it's probably because you're using some kind of "ad-blocking" software on your browser. I'm using "picture-ads" for each book that are hosted at Amazon.com, and your software might be interpreting (rightly so) those pictures as ads. If the page looks empty and you are running such software, you might see if you could selectively turn off that software for just this page, or this site. (Of course, if you see the many pictures, you're all set! Enjoy!)
In 2009, I'm hoping to make it through two very special, very daunting books...Roger Penrose's The Road to Reality, and Timothy Gowers' Princeton Companion to Mathematics. I'm listing them here and now, even though I've not actually finished them yet.
A friend of mine (Rod Paine) sent me a list of books that he recommends for a Macintosh user faced with learning Windows (as he has done.) I've listed them below. Click the picture of the book or its title to learn more about each book.
